Warm Up:

• Turn to your Unit Vocabulary page in your notebook and add the following terms if you have not yet done so:

ecosystem - all the living and nonliving things interacting in an area
system - a set of parts that function as a whole
biotic matter - living and dead organisms
abiotic matter - nonliving things like air and water

• Discuss your initial claim from IN page 7 with your table group. Why do you think the plants and animals of the biodome did not have enough energy storage molecules?
